The coast section between Tynemouth and Seat on Sluice is one of the few surface exposures of Coal Measure strata in the country. The first paper is intended to serve as a field guide to the geology of this stretch of coast.The second paper describes the relatively rare nickel sulphide, millerite after it was discovered in a sample of vein material brought out of the colliery at Boldon Colliery, County Durham in June 1966.
This volume has 52 pages and contains illustrations, composite sections and geological maps throughout.
