Enjoy some of the hidden treasures in our prestigious Council Room at the Great North Museum: Hancock as we open our doors once more for Heritage Open Days. Come along and see the historic furnishings and paintings in the room and view a selection of fascinating curiosities from our archives. What is a Mushwump? Why do we have a grumpy letter from General Gordon of Khartoum and who caught the North East’s very own sea serpent.
All are welcome. The NHSN Council Room can be found on the second floor of the Great North Museum: Hancock.
