Discover the World of Bumblebees and Honeybees

Sunday 23 June, 10.00am-2.00pm

With Shaun Hackett at Elsdon Village Hall, Elsdon

What’s that buzz? Learn about bumblebee biology and how to identify common garden species. Discover the importance of bees as pollinators and how you can help them. Redesdale beekeepers will be on hand to show some of the equipment used for beekeeping and to explain the life of honeybees. In the afternoon put your new knowledge into practice with a local walk to find and identify bumblebees and discuss the suitability of different habitats for bees. Please bring a packed lunch, suitable outdoor clothing and footwear.

Booking is essential. To book, email shaun.hackett@nnpa.org.uk. This event is suitable for ages 14+. All persons under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
