Badger Watching at Gosforth Park Nature Reserve

Badger, GNR © W. Binney

Wednesday 13, 20 and 27 May; Saturday 16 and 27 May; Sunday 24 May – all 7.00-9.00pm.

With Paul Drummond, Bob Wilkin & Jonathan Pounder

Spend an evening in the company of Gosforth Nature Reserve’s most elusive residents! Join NHSN experts for a members-exclusive opportunity to view these iconic yet seldom-seen creatures from our specially-built hide.

There are five places available for each watch to limit disturbance to the badgers. Badger watches are very popular, and we understand everyone would love to see one. If you have been lucky enough to attend a badger watch in the last two years, we politely ask that you refrain from booking to allow other members the opportunity. Similarly, we ask that members refrain from booking on multiple dates so that as many people as possible are able to enjoy this wonderful experience.

Photography will not be allowed, as the sound and flash can disturb the badgers.

Accessibility note: our badger watching hide is accessed by a 6-step ladder, and is quite narrow with a backless bench for seating.

NHSN members ONLY. You will be asked to provide your NHSN membership number when registering. Not a member? Learn more about NHSN membership
