About the Sections

Natural history covers many fascinating subjects, from rocks and landforms to lichens and flowers to insects, reptiles, birds and mammals. Many of our members have a specialist interest and have created informal "Sections" within the Society to focus on their interest.

Our Sections help to organise and run our programme of field trips, talks and education courses in order to offer our members the opportunity to learn about and get involved in all the different aspects of the natural world.
