Overview of Resources

The Society owns a world class museum and collection of specimens and artifacts, a library with 12,000 natural history books and the archives of well-known local naturalists.

Our nature reserve is home to rare birds, plants, mammals and insects and we are building an image library of nature in the north-east. Through our members and partners we have access to local, national and international experts in the natural sciences.
