Revisit NHSN Friday talks with ReCap

19th January 2018

Thanks to Newcastle University and following the change of venue to the Ridley Building, our Friday night talks are now being recorded using ReCap. The recording of each talk, accompanied with the PowerPoint presentation slides, can be accessed through our website. We have provided a few samples for everyone to enjoy here, with a fuller range available to members in the Members’ Area.

We are very excited to be able to provide these recordings and make our talks more available. NHSN has a long history of giving successful talks: according to T. Russell Goddard’s (1929) history of the Society, “Nine hundred children presented themselves on the first occasion” of a series of lectures for young people in 1888. In the winter of 1902-1903, lectures were brought bang up-to-date with the introduction of a “well equipped projection lantern”. Goddard himself even gave talks on the local radio!

Our Friday night talks series runs every Friday till 16 March, and you can view upcoming talks here. Doors open at 6.20pm for socialising and refreshments. Everybody welcome.
