Gordon leads the NHSN entomology and other invertebrates group.
His interests include: general entomology, especially true bugs (Hemiptera) and mosquitoes; general terrestrial invertebrates, especially slugs; general natural history.
Gordon is a lecturer at Newcastle University and is a Member of the Royal Entomological Society (Honorary Fellow).

the natural world than people who get paid (so called professionals, like me). The NHSN also has a large membership
which rivals that of many national organisations. We are very lucky to have such an active and vibrant organisation
on our doorstep”.
